I am passionate about inclusive education and feel privileged to lead a school community that supports our learners, whānau, and staff so wholeheartedly. I am committed to helping Sommerville continue to grow as a place where every student is valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Having seen firsthand the care and dedication of the teachers, and how much my son is thriving and enjoying school, I felt motivated to join the board. I’m keen to support the continued success of a school community that works so well for its learners.
I am a music teacher at King’s School and have worked in the education sector for 26 years. I have a twelve-year-old son at Base and joined the Board out of a desire to support the amazing staff he had encountered at Sommerville School and to help provide the best possible environment for the school’s learners.
I have been working in special education for 30 years and have a passion for helping our learners and whānau, and for making Sommerville the best it can be.
